Our Camping Holiday in Yamba, NSW

The weather in Yamba wasn't too good the first day or two!
But it did brighten up and we enjoyed a walk and a play on the beach.

It was all too much excitement for Amelia for one day.

We found a great beach - Spooky Beach

Some beach driftwood art.

And fun making sandcastles.

A barbeque dinner with our friends Greg and Jill at the camp kitchen.

We found a cosy cafe to enjoy an ice cream.

"Look Mum!  It's Skippy the bush kangaroo!"

What can I say?  He's a daredevil.

And who wants to be just like her big brother?
The girls chill out, while the boys........

................prepare to traverse the Clarence River.
The water park on the campsite was a mixture of fun, laughter and......

.....tears when William knocked out his front tooth on the slide!

The Inter-Schools Tennis Final!

Ben and William outside the arena, with everything to play for.

Ben Kelly and William Porter represented Patricks Road State School at the Brisbane International Interschools Cup this year.  PRSS were certainly the underdogs in this competition, with only these two dedicated sportsmen from the school in the team at the finals on Sunday.  Tension was high at the Pat Rafter Arena in Brisbane where 8 schools battled out for a place in the Grand Final and the chance to meet Roger Federer in December.  Thankfully the team were joined by the coaches son and daughter to help make up the numbers.  They all played exceptionally well and had some big wins despite their small number of 4.  They all thoroughly enjoyed the comp and the chance to play on the impressive Centre Court the highlight of the day.
The odds were against PRSS though and the team were understandably disappointed when they finished 5th overall - Roger will have to wait to meet these two upcoming tennis stars another day!  Well done, boys.  You did us proud!

Still managing to summon a smile after the presentation ceremony.

Holiday on Stradbroke Island

Catching the ferry to Straddie in the rain.

So desperate to go in the sea, they didn't even take off their clothes!

"I'm surfing!"

A great day for the beach.

Brown Lake.  So called due to the colour the leaves from the trees makes the water.

He gets better every day!

The local gelati shop a short walk from the holiday house (Amelia dubbed it the picnic house)

On the headland overlooking the Pacific Ocean where the whales were on their migration south.
Beautiful and deserted Flinders Beach

Fishing in the wind isn't easy!

Pizza night!

Must be a good pizza.

Fish and chips - the last night dinner out.

Peace and tranquility.

Bit windy on the ferry.
Beach kids.
